after the fluids was taken out of her she felt better and after a while the symptoms comes back. she had lumbar puncture 3 times and then doctor prescribed her Tarceva. and somehow her symptoms these few days have seemed to become better. My questions are, my mum's cancer did not spread and she also had various pet scan and ct scans, blood test you name it to confirm that, but the doctor only said they found abnomal cells from the fluids from lumbar puncture.

HAt this At i -- I can totally relate to what you and your spouce are expreinecing as I am currently going through the same experience with my husband of 24 years who was a total non-smoker and 50 years old. He had radiation. chemo (4 cycles of cisplastin and vinrelobine) and then tarceva (for 30 days). The Tarceva had to be discontinued as he was coughing up blood) along with the expected facial rash.

Experimental: Erlotinib + Cisplatin + Docetaxel Erlotinib 150 mg by mouth daily for 1 year. Cisplatin 80 mg/m^2 IV over a 30 minutes - 1 hour infusion every 3 weeks (21 day cycle) for 3 cycles before surgery. Hello. I am a 65 y/o E Indian non smoking female dz 4/09 w met EGFR 19+ adenoca of the lung. I have received 2 courses of systemic chemotherapy for dz progression during the last 2 years and 2 courses of palliative radiotherapy, all the while maintained on Tarceva. My most recent PETCT in April shows innumerable bl lung nodules, all sub cm in size. I have been seen at both USC (no options there) and then UCLA. I am apparently a candidate for the Clovis drug CO-1686, the Merck PD-1 antibody, and a c-MET inhibitor. I had a rebx in Feb 2013 which again showed the EGFR 19 mutation as well as a new mutation T790M and high over expression of cmet.

The survival after progression on Tarceva is so variable I don’t think it’s helpful to give a number. It depends exceptionally on the underlying pace of the cancer, so I think giving a number just blindly is not remotely helpful.

In this study we explored the potential of combining erlotinib with cetuximab or trastuzumab in improving the efficacy of EGFR targeted therapy in EGFR wild-type erlotinib-sensitive NSCLC cell lines.
